**See LINKS, below, to explore some of our destinations!

Note: Our itinerary may change slightly... but always with the best photographic potential in mind.

Day 1
 June 1

Depart today from San Diego International Airport / Lindbergh Field to Paris, France.

Day 2
June 2

Arrival in Paris.  Following our transfer from the airport to our home-away-from-home / hotel, the group will embark on a brief orientation walk of downtown Paris and get instructions on how to  navigate the City of Light  using their fabulous Metro subway system.

Day 3
June 3

Walking tour of Paris to explore Notre Dame, St. Chapelle, and more.  Eat croissants and sip cafe' to keep our energy.

(St. Chapelle is one of my top-two European jaw-dropping sites. The other is the Pantheon in Rome.)

Night shooting at the Eiffel Tower.

Day 4
June 4

Visit the Palace and Gardens of Versailles.  Night shooting along the Seine River and the Champs Elysees.

Day 5
June 5

Last full day in Paris to explore museums or cobble-stone alleys.  Night shooting at the Arc de Triomphe.

Day 6
June 6

Take the Eurail from Paris into the Swiss Alps, staying 3 nights in Interlaken.  Dinner with an amazing view of the lake and the Alps.

Day 7
June 7

Explore the lake region or take a train/tram/funicular to 10,000' for a breathtaking view!

Day 8
June 8

More individual exploring at 5,000' or 10,000'.  Head out in a group or solo to take a hike, go parasailing, take a boat ride, or relax, stroll, and go shopping.

Day 9
June 9

Arrival in Venezia.  The best thing to do in Venice is "get lost".  Because we're on a small island, you can walk and walk and walk and feel somewhat 'lost', but you're still in Venice and always only minutes from the Grand Canal, St. Mark's cathedral, and all the main attractions here.

Day 10
June 10

Venezia is made for walking, so we will explore the city on foot, and use your 3-day pass to ride the many vaporetti (city 'buses' on the water) to any part of Venice you'd like to explore.  Ample time to shoot, shop, eat, and visit museums.  Night shooting along the Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge, Bridge of Sighs, and Piazza San Marco.

Day 11
June 11

After breakfast in Venezia,  we'll catch a train to the Italian Riviera region known as the Cinque Terre (Chink-wah Terr-eh).  We will be staying in the beautiful coastal town of Levanto.  You will have a 3-day Cinque Terre Card allowing you to hop on the local trains and visit any of the small villages, just minutes apart, or you can walk/hike from town to town.  Each tiny village is built into the rocky shore.  You can enjoy local wines here, and... this is the home of pesto!  Mmm... mmm!

Day 12
June 12

The recommended itinerary for today: take a quick  train ride to Riomaggiore, then 'hike' to Manarola (1/2 mile), on to Corniglia, up to Vernazza, have dinner, then take the train back to our hotel. What a great day on the coast!  We visited here in 2006 and the group didn't want to leave!  You'll understand after one day here.

Day 13
June 13

Another full day to explore the picturesque coastal villages of the Cinque Terre by foot... or take a boat tour of the Cinque Terre or down to Portovenere or north to Portofino.  Decisions.

Day 14
June 14

Board a train to Milan? Stay for one night... or longer?

Day 15
June 15

Are you still traveling ???

Day 16
June 16

Where are YOU??  Still in Europe?  Or back to 'normal life' ?
